OK, this is just getting ridiculous.
Sporting News has now retracted their story that reported Butch Jones had withdrawn his name from consideration. For the time being, I’m going to leave the story below on the site. If Jones — for some reason — gets the job, it will be a reminder of how stupid Sporting News was and how stupid I was for believing them.

I just put up a post about this before I checked your site. I was wondering if anybody had heard the same report. I did not know, however, that it was retracted.
This search is a fucking circus.
More hoops stuff, then,please, until they actually name somebody. I’m enjoying the blog, but maybe this coach stuff could use a rest. The University should just come out and say they won’t name a new guy until after our bowl game.
Butch isn’t my choice, but we could do worse (and may do so!)
