Want to know why Pitt didn’t land star recruit Terrelle Pryor?

The chief reason he never looked at Pitt has to be that Pitt has a tough time putting fannies in the Heinz Field seats. Who wants to play in front of 25,000 when you can play before crowds four times as large at Ohio State?

You can argue that Pryor could have been the one to make Pitt a big winner and sell a lot of tickets. I’m not sure he has the time for that. Pitt, though taking a big step in the right direction by beating West Virginia Dec. 1, still has a long way to go. It didn’t even make it to a bowl game the past three seasons. If Pryor is as good as he appears, he won’t be in college all that long. He’ll be off to the NFL after three years.

No, Pryor wants to play for a national championship contender. That eliminates Pitt.

As much as Pitt fans want to yell and scream about “13-9,” they’re still just as irrelevant as always. Seriously, why think that anything is going to change when you don’t support your program?

When Logan Heastie and Tajh Boyd first stepped on Mountaineer Field, they were awestruck and wondered how great the place must be when sold out on gameday.  Think Pitt recruits imagine Heinz Field 1/3 full?

He’s A Suckeye!

Terrelle Pryor finally made the decision about where he wants to get paid to play college football and it is with the Buckeyes. Why does WBGV give a shit about Pryor now that he is a Buckeye? We don’t really, but we love the fact that this screws Fraud’s first couple years at Michigan.

Fraud, if you thought Brad Lewis was terrible just wait until David Cone takes the field at the Big House. He was washed up after he left the Yankees. Good luck asshole.

Terrelle Pryor Should Get Used To This

Didn’t think the hype machine would start a week early? Thought the mainstream media might wait a week until the BCS National Championship game was officially set? Well, you were wrong. The hype, or as I like to call it, “The 2007-2008 West Virginia Kicks Ass In Recruiting For The Next Decade Tour, presented by Tostitos,” has begun in earnest.

The Next Chad Johnston…err, Vince Young?

Terrelle Pryor is on everyone’s radar…and why shouldn’t he be? At 6-6 and 210 lbs., Pryor is one of the sickest athletes in this upcoming class. He is the #1 rated QB in all-the-land (according to Scout.com). And because Pryor is a real go-getter and wasn’t happy with just being good at one sport, he decided to become the #8 ranked shooting guard in America. Color me impressed.

The bad news? He’s from western Pennsylvania — Jeannette to be exact. This puts him squarely within the borders of Dave Wannstedt’s “iron curtain.”

(Pause for laughter.)

Luckily for WVU, Pryor is a free-market capitalist who doesn’t believe in outdated bastions of communism, such as the iron curtain. Because of this, Pryor long ago eliminated Pitt from the running for his dual-sport services. Where is WVU, you may ask? In the top 7. It’s not going to be an easy road, but does anyone want to bet AGAINST the best tag-team (CRR and CBH) since The Bushwackers? I wouldn’t.
